[REVIEW] CNBLUE (씨엔블루) - BLUEMING

After one year, finally my favorite band CNBLUE comeback with a new mini album titled BLUEMING. The mini album contain 5 songs and all the songs are composed by the members. In my opinion BLUEMING is my favorite album instead of other CNBLUE’s album since their debut in 2010.

The first song is titled 이렇게 예뻤나 (You’re So Fine). It is the title song and they use this song in the music shows. It is composed and written by CNBLUE’s leader Jung Yong Hwa and arranged by Jung Yong Hwa, Go Jin Young, and Lee Sang Ho. 이렇게 예뻤나 (You’re So Fine) is a rock song about man who amazed a woman and want to be close with her. I think this story is a common story in Kpop songs, but I like how Korean composer makes the common story into their style and the dictions are awesome. The melody is also the main point of the song and I think이렇게 예뻤나 (You’re So Fine) is easy to listening and I believe CNBLUE can get the first place in the music shows. Don’t forget to watch the Music Video because the story is really good and cute ㅋㅋㅋ. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆  for이렇게 예뻤나 (You’re So Fine).

The second song is The Seasons. It is written by our guitarist Lee Jong Hyun and his friend I think,  Kim Jae Yang. Composed by Lee Jong Hyun, Kim Jae Yang, and Park Hyun Woo, arranged by Kim Jae Yang, and Park Hyun Woo. I think all of CNBLUE’s members are music genius. They are talented except in dancing maybe ㅋㅋㅋ. It has slower tempo and melody than You’re So Fine, but I feel like this is very romantic. It makes me imagine Jong Hyun will sing this song to me in front of my houseㅋㅋㅋ. I give The Seasons ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆  .

The next song is Young Forever.  It is Jung Yong Hwa’s song and you can identify that the song is made up by Yong Hwa because if you listen to Jung Yong Hwa’s other songs it has the same feeling and style. The lyric is meaningful and the title is very catchy, but I think this is too mainstream for Yong Hwa’s song. I hope he can composed other style, but I admit he is a genius. ☆ ☆ ☆ for Young Forever.

The forth song is Without You which written by maknae and bassist Lee Jung Shin and Kim Jae Yang.  Composed by Lee Jung Shin and Han Seung Hoon and arranged by Go Jin Young. Finally the maknae have his own song although with the help of other musicians, but it still an achievement for him and it makes Boice happy to hear. In my opinion it is a rock-ballad because although the band’s style is rock but the lyric of Without You is so touching and sad L.  I like to listen this song when it rains, so I can nostalgia J.  ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ for Without You.

The last but not least is Stay Sober. Written by Jung Yong Hwa and Innovator, composed by Jung Yong Hwa and arranged by Kim Jae Yang and Park Hyun Woo.  It is an English song although originally Korean song because the lyric written in English. I think this song is good but it’s too Jung Yong Hwa. I can only give Stay Sober ☆ ☆ ☆.

In conclusion CNBLUE’s BLUEMING album is really cool. It’s all member composed and they participated in the album, but i’m not really satisfied because my favorite member, the drumer Kang Min Hyuk didn’t composed any song in this album. Maybe it is because he is busy with his drama project L. Overall, I recommend you to listening to BLUEMING album for all friends not only for who loves Kpop but also who don’t like Kpop because this album is different with mainstream Kpop.
