[FYI] GIANT ROOKIES

Why I called it Giant Rookie? Because they are Shining and become big since debut. As you know, in a year there are many idol groups debut but only small amount that popular. I don’t know why, but I think it because public want something new and unique like the groups that I will mention bellow.

SEVENTEEN

Debut in 2015, the group consist of 13 members with 3 units, vocal unit, performance unit and hiphop unit. The group are gained popularity even before debut, because the members was introduced before debut with project SeventeenTV started in 2012. What makes this group popular and unique are beside the three unit, the group’s song are composed by their own member and also the choreography.

GFRIEND

Debut in 2012, the group consist of 6 members, are a group from the small agency, Source Music. The group gained controversy because public consider the group copying Girls Generation’s concept, but I think Girls Generation’s concept did not have copyright, so why people judge them as copycat. They gain popularity because of their knife-like choreography and their song also become hits.

TWICE

Debut in 2015, the members are introduced by the survival show SIXTEEN. The group consist of 9 members and the group gained popularity with their debut song “Like Ooh-Aah”. Some people said that they popular because of their visual and they are from the big agency, and some said that they are talented. I don’t know the truth, but their songs always become hits and the song “Cheer Up” become popular because of Sana’s line “Shy Shy Shy”.

LOVELYZ

The lovely girls that made their debut in 2014 and gained public’s attention because they are INFINITE’s sisters. I think their songs are so lovely and their dances are hard to follow. In Korea, Lovelyz is not popular as GFRIEND and TWICE, but they are more popular internationally. In Japan they get so much popularity, I think it because their music match them well. I hope this group will get #1 so people could notice their talents.

I think the groups are have their own uniqueness and charisma, it’s all depend of all of you, listeners. You can like the groups or hate it J it’s your right.
