[REVIEW] I.O.I - CHRYSALIS

The project group from survival show PRODUCE101 debut with a mini album titled “Chrysalis”. The group consists of 11 members from different agencies. Im Nayoung and  Zhou Jieqiong (Pledis), Jeon Somi (JYP), Kim Chungha (M&H Entertainment), Kim Se Jeong and Kang Mi Na (Jellyfish), Jung Chaeyeon (MBK), Kim Sohye (Redline),Yoo Yeonjung (Starship), Choi Yoo Jung and Kim Do Yeon (Fantagio).

1.    I.O.I (Intro)

The intro sounds like a western song, I like the intro. ☆ ☆

2.    Dream Girls

The title track Dream Girls is a dance song and in the beginning of the song it’s sounds like the combination of Fingertips and Pick Me. This song is good but unfortunately both lead vocalist, Kim Se Jeong and Yoo Yeon Jeong like lost her parts. Jeon Somi also lost her centre L.  In my opinion this song is suppose to release in Summer because I think Dream Girls is a summer song not Spring ㅋㅋㅋ. ☆ ☆ ☆

3.    똑똑똑

This song is one of my favorite from I.O.I this song sounds like SISTAR’s 애처럼 굴지마. If SISTAR’s song sounds sexy this song sounds pretty and pure. It has nice melody. I like the song and in this song all the members have equal parts J . I like the part when Somi sing you're knocking at my heart조금은 설레어도 and we can listen the improvement of Kim So Hye. Yeah, this girl improves a lot. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

4.   Doo Wap

This sweet song make me think that I.O.I members are so lucky, they got only good songs for this album.  This song just sound like the previous song but the atmosphere is more lovely. This song is about falling in love and the rap part so pretty. I think in this song Somi got more parts than other song. why I talk about Somi a lot? Yup, one of my favorite member is Somi and the other are Se Jeong, Na Young, and Do Yeon J. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

5.    Crush

This song is originally a project song in Produce101 and sang by 22 finalist members. This song is good and more energic. I like the part when the member say “쿵쾅 woo oh woo oh쿵쾅 woo oh woo oh”. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

6.    봊꽃이 지면

This song is my favorite song since Produce101. 봊꽃이 지면 is written by B1A4 Jinyoung, he is the best Idol composer I think. He makes a beautiful song that suits Spring. When I listen to this song I start to imagine that I stand under Cherry Blossom tree and the flowers fall to the ground. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

7.    Pick Me

This song is like a soundtrack of Produce101. This song was very popular during the show amany people did cover dance of this song. ☆ ☆
